Goya expressed their intention to introduce a line of canned vegetables but wanted to maintain the strong branding used on their canned beans products, this included the all blue color can with logo anchored to the top of the can, but a desire to have the canned vegetable be distinctive and different. While maintaining the colors and logo position the graphics departed with a horizontal all product image, no bowl, on the lower portion of the label. A gradation behind the flavor variant copy reinforces the message that the canned vegetables are in a different product line. As with all Goya products the label is bilingual with dual face panels to help communicate to Goya’s audience. The product line which consists of eleven items was very well received and continues to do well in the marketplace.
